Atlantis crew took these great images as the Hubble Space Telescope departed the shuttle this morning following five solid days of repair and servicing to extend the telescope's life time by five to ten years.From it's outpost 350 statue miles above earth, Hubble orbits the earth once every 93 minutes in a orbital inclination of 28.45 degrees to the equator.
This will be the last time human eyes will lay upon the 19 year-old telescope. Look for new pictures from Hubble beginning this August or September as it begins to use it's new wide field camera and upgraded systems.
