NASA will begin the countdown for launch of space shuttle Endeavour this evening at 10PM EDT, as the team at Kennedy Space Center continue to process the vehicle for flight this Saturday evening.
"Endeavour is in great shape, and I have no technical issues to report," stated NASA test director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson this morning.
The only working issue has not even happened yet.
Thunderstorms and anvil clouds along the Space Coast could impact the mission's brief launch time. Air Force meteorologist Kathy Winters stated this morning here at Kennedy that she thinks the weather will go to red and then possibly change back to green as the countdown moved closer to it's 7:39:33 pm EDT launch time.
NASA weather is giving only a 40% chance of acceptable weather at launch time.
