T-3 Hours and Counting; Crew Departs for Pad

The countdown clocks just resumed counting down from the T minus 3 hour mark minutes ago, meanwhile the seven member flight crew are now en route to board space shuttle Endeavour at this time.

Endeavour's crew, led by commander Mark Polansky, departed their home here at the Kennedy Space at 3:23 pm EDT, and boarded the AstroVan for their trip from the industrial area over to and past the Vehicle Assembly Building and Launch Control. At launch control, the van will let out head astronaut Steve Lindsay, who will fly the shuttle training aircraft to check weather in the final hours of the count.

From there the van travels down a paved road which travels directly to launch pad 39-A and Endeavour.
