T-9 minutes and Holding; Watching Storm Cell

Space shuttle Endeavour's countdown to launch has entered the final hold at T minus nine minutes, as launch control watches a storm cell tracking about twenty miles west of the Kennedy Space Center.

Chief NASA astronaut Steve Lindsey flying high in a Gulfstream II jet noted a storm cell to the west, about 15 miles from the space center.

Two issues NASA's launch control were working were recently cleared. Slush ice at the T-0 umbilical line and a tieback cover poses no threat at launch. Weather remains the only concern.

Continuing to access the weather as Endeavour prepares for launch at 7:13:54 pm EDT.

At T-:09 minutes and holding...
