A beautiful night time launch of NASA's newest space telescope occurred this evening as the Kepler spacecraft began it's four year mission to discover new worlds in nearby galaxies.A United Launch Alliance Delta II 7925 departed Cape Canaveral Air Force Station with her NASA payload aboard on time at 10:49:57 pm EST. The complete launch profile through the first 12 minutes was all nominal.
