Atlantis Landing Delayed Again this Morning

Poor weather conditions here at the Kennedy Space Center has caused Entry Flight Director Norm Knight to wave off the first landing opportunity by Atlantis; the weather also has Mission Control looking more at Edwards, AFB in California as today's landing site.

Low clouds and rain showers in the 30 nautical mile area around Kennedy caused this mornings one orbit delay.

As showers flow north up the Space Coast, KSC would likely be forecast no-go through this morning, and Edwards the better site for a 10:45 am EDT landing.
